Winter Activities
For many, the winter in Alta, the City of the Northern Lights, is exactly how a winter is supposed to be. North Adventure offers an Arctic menu of experiences that includes, but is not limited to, scooter driving, sledding, skiing, ice fishing on secret mountain water and staying overnight in our exclusive ice hotel. The nature here in Alta works like a team, and we have an unbelievable Northern Light which plays on its magic light organ on a cold Arctic winter night. Summer Activities
North Adventure brings you the summer in The City of the Northern Lights. Our activities vary greatly- from riverboat tours on Alta River, the world's most famous Salmon river, to trips to the Alta Canyon and visits at traditional mining places. In addition, Alta has 10,000 year old rock carvings and traditions such as slate mining that are being practiced today. If you wish to make a closer acquantance with our magnificent nature, there are great possibilities for both fishing and walking tours in the close neighborhood. For those who would like to get to know more about Sami culture, the Sami Siida is an exciting encounter with a great original population.
